Went to the dentist yesterday, seems my tooth is cracked and infected, face swollen. Have to take antibiotics for awhile before they can pull the tooth. Is it okay to ride my bike, exert myself while I have this infection in my face?

You will be a better judge than I in that regard. If the pain is keeping you from riding don't ride. If the pain is bearable, the ride may help distract you from the pain and can raise your own endorphin levels which act as your own pain reliever. Endorphins stimulate the opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord. If you ride, consider wearing a full face helmet, just in case you take a whack on the side of your face with the bad tooth.

Thanks,

Wasn't really worried bout the pain, just wondered if it could cause the infection to spread or get worse. The swelling went down by ride time so all was well. Thanks.
