You won't find a healthier sport supplement. SportLegs compact vegetarian capsules contain nothing but a concentrated blend of premium European natural-source pharmaceutical-grade calcium and magnesium lactates. No additives, fillers, binders, flow agents, excipients or dairy products. Each capsule contains 480mg of premium mineral lactates. A dose of three provide 131mg of dietary calcium and 65mg of dietary magnesium in an optimal 2:1 ratio. Our ingredients qualify for FDA "Generally Recognized As Safe" ["GRAS"] classification. So they aren't just good for your sports and healthy for your body. Technically, they're safer than aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen or naproxen sodium pain relievers.

Yes. Steer clear!

There is no way of assuring that what the manufacturer claims about the product, that the listed ingredients actually are the listed ingredients and that there is not tainting of the suppliment with banded and/or potentially harmful substances. Two years ago a top US pro-racer received a suspension for testing positive for anabolic steroids. The source was a nutrition suppliment that was tainted with an anabolic steroid. Though it was not listed as an ingredient in the all natural substance, on analysis of the product there was an anabolic steroid present. One university study showed up to 30% tainting of sports nutrition suppliments with banned substances including anabolic steroids.

Unfortunately, nutrition/dietary suppliments do not come under the rules and regulations that apply for medications. Medications must be clinically tested, demonstrate purity of the drug in the product, demonstrate both safety and efficacy before it can be labled as being helpful with a specific disorder or problem. Manufacturers of nutrition suppliments can claim whatever they want regarding their product as long as there is a disclaimer that it is not for medical treatment and not clinically tested. The power of nutrition/dietary suppliment lobbiest effected a change to the Food and Drug Admininstration rules effectively making the regulatory "Food" portion of the FDA a toothless dog. This has allowed the nutrition/dietary industry to run amuck since the rule change. Unfortunately, athletes and dieters have suffered because of it. There is an effort to put the teeth back in the dog, but it is unlikely to happen during an election year.

There are no short cuts to good, solid training and a well ballanced diet. Let me recommend Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook.
