Was in the lbs today when a customer called with a fit question regarding pain in his knee. Obvious first response was seat hight, customer came in to check. But it finally came out that pain was in one knee and not both. Lbs guy check his cleats and said that they were worn and that was the cause. How is this the case?
Customers old shoes proved to be cracked on the sole where the cleats are attached so he bought new shoes as well. Which means we'll never truly know whether or not that was the case this time. Prompting me to ask you.
Thanks in advance.

The customer may also have a leg length discrepancy that could acount for the knee pain being only on one side. If that were the case then using cleat shims or different length crank arms to could help alieviate the problems.

Thanks,
