Ok....so I had the surgery about 2 months ago...my PT has oked me to do some road riding (w/o clipping in) but only for about 30-40 minutes.

1. Would it reallly hurt to ride on the road for longer?

2. At what point should I try to get back on the dirt? I don't think my PT is very familiar with MTB and has not given me a definative answer on this.

kriskane:

Listen to your PT and orthopedic doctor. If they say no clipping in or off roading, pay attention and follow their advise. They really do want you to make a complete recovery and get back into the activities you love. If you push it too soon, further surgery and prolonged rehab is in your future. You may have another month or two before you get the blessing to go in the rough off road.

Thanks,
