Avulsion fracture, mallet finger.

What do you say to a broken finger and racing, granted I wasn't really planning on Bar-H, but was planning on Comfort. I have seen a Hand Specialist, and am sitting in a splint to be removed possible on March 30th. Question

I rode two motos with a broken shoulder blade back when I raced motocross. Man up!!

But seriously, I have no valuable information, just wanted to say good luck getting back on the bike. Sorry to hear about the finger.

Spent last night no the trainer, I don't know how anyone can survive, more than 1 hour on it, too damn boring. I just know falling on the trainer is real hard. Plus noticing from my lack luster performance at Tapatio, my cardio isn't what it was last year. Mad

Sea bass:

The problems with mallet fingers (evulsion fracture of the distal phallanx) is that if they are not stabalized and healed properly, the mallet malformation becomes permanent and the functionality of the finger is permanently impared. Get thee to a hand or orthopedic surgeon, pronto. Lay off the bike until you have been cleared by the surgeon. Crying or Very sad Yes stationary bikes are dreadfully droll, but get some good videos to make it more tolerable. You could always pull off a Leadville 100 trainer ride by watching Lord of the Rings, Editors cut, from start to finish on a single ride. If you pull that off and I might see if I can get you a belt buckel or at least some butt-balm. Wink

Thanks,

Thanks, thats what I thought, so I guess I can ride and catch up on my tv at the same time. Just wanted an unofficial second or tertiary opinion, the hand surgeon didn't say anything about biking, but I assume by the lack of saying something its a no.
