women: 36%-48% or 0.36-0.48
men: 42%-52% or 0.42-0.52
my lab book didn't break down adult ages but that should be very close |

Thanks Jeremy for the references.
Other factors on the level will be your hydration status, dehydrated higher levels, well hydrated normal levels and altitude at which you live. Living at altitude will cause higher levels of Hemoglobin and hematocrit.
If your levels are low, seek a medical evaluation. Anemia in a male is often the first sign of cancer.
