Dr. told me if my knee is not 50% better by monday to call him and he'll recommend some rehab.
I'm thinking about swimming laps at the gym and I may even start doing some very easy short road rides this weekend and increase it each day as my knee seems fit. |
Wait until Monday and see how your knee is doing. If you aren't better then the rehab route is appropriate. Swimming would be a good start. Once you get cleared by your doc to get back on the bike, easy road rides as you mentioned would be the next step up. Keep the gearing down, the cadence up and avoid big gear mashing, hard climbs and West Texas head winds for a few weeks. Have your bike set up looked at by a good bike shop. If your seat is too low, you will cause undo strain on the knee.
