Richard:
There are several things that can cause pain in the anatomical area you area experiencing besides politician, taxes and bad drivers. Cysts can develop deep in the tissue and may not become apparent until pressure is applied such as from a bicycle seat. Occassionally, a fall landing on the back side can break the tail bone, the coccyx. This takes 6-8 weeks to heal and can truely be a pain in the ars until it does. Other problems include nerve compression to due to arthritic conditions in the lower spine or disc degeneration. Get a check by your doctor to elucidate the cause of the discomfort.
