Which location will the Tyler race be at so some of us can make camping reservations? I checked the Tyler bicycle club facebook and website and did not see anything. Thx!

I am very new to this (I bought a bike yesterday) and want to participate in the Texas Cup fall series starting with the Tyler event. When registering it asks my class. Based on what I could find I believe I am in the novice class but I also read anyone over 30 is in the master class? I turned 50 in May.
Do I need to join US Cycling and get a license first then register?
Is there a new riders clinic prior to the Tyler event?
    Thank you

Hi Jeremy, Good questions. For a first time racer I suggest racing in the Cat 3 50-59 category. You do not need to join US Cycling for the event in Tyler. There is a new riders clinic( I highly suggest attending) It takes place the day before the race after the Kids Cup. I suggest pre riding the course on Saturday and them going to the new riders clinic ( or vice versa)
