Dear SugarLand Classic Racers,
Update! Mother nature continues to throw has thrown quite a temper tantrum, so while we anxiously watch the rising level of the Brazos River we are cautiously optimistic that we will still have a race on a modified course. The issue is the amount of rain cities to the north of us have received and that is currently flowing downhill to us. Tower Run will likely be under water. It has been removed from the course. The plan is to run the remaining course utilizing Sugar Rush, Missing Link and Brindley with additional laps and more course flagged off in the meadow.
Keep your fingers crossed! We will hold this event if at all possible; it means so much to the Houston off-road community and its sponsors. We don’t want to let anyone down; and you know we can have a crit-style mountain bike race for a great cause and with a kick-butt party. Plus all of you can see and cheer for each other and your kiddos! We understand that some of our out-of-town guests might not want to take the gamble with us so I wanted to make sure everyone was aware. I will continue to give updates over the next couple of days. Think positive dry thoughts!!
